Wallet Backup - Recoverbull

Recoverbull by Bull Bitcoin is an open-source Bitcoin wallet backup protocol using strong encryption, ubiquitous cloud storage and an accountless web service for storing encryption keys. Set up your Encrypted Vault in less than 5 minutes, and never lose access to a lost Bitcoin wallet.

  1. Select 'Wallet Backup'.

  2. Physical Backup will show its successfully Tested, which we completed in the “Wallet Backup” stage above. But your Encrypted Vault will show that it’s Not Tested. Select ‘Start Backup’ to start the encryption backup process.

  1. Select 'Encrypted vault'.

  1. Choose vault location ‘Google Drive’ for anonymous backup with strong encryption using your cloud. Alternatively you can choose ‘Custom location’ to store your encrypted backup on your device. In this example we will proceed with the quick & easy cloud option, click on ‘Google Drive’.

  1. Next sing-in to your Google Drive account.

  1. You will need to choose an access PIN to recover access to your wallet. It must be at least 6 digits. If you lose this PIN you cannot recover your backup. Once you enter your PIN, you will need to confirm the access PIN.

  1. Upon confirming your access PIN, the waller will connect to Key Server over Tor. This can take upto a minute. Once it’s backuped up on the Key Server, ‘Backup completed!’ will be displayed.

  1. Congratulations you have successfully created an encrypted vault backup of your wallet.

  2. Now you need to test your backup to make sure everything was done correctly. Select ‘ Wallet Backup’, click on ‘Test Backup’ and then ‘Encrypted vault’.

  1. Select ‘Google Drive’ and you will be shown your unique Backup ID, as well as the date and time your vault was created. Click on ‘Decrypt vault’.

  1. Enter your backup PIN, which will decrypt your vault.

  1. The wallet will connect to Key Server over Tor, and if the PIN was entered correctly, you will see “Test completed successfully!”. You are now able to recover access to your Bitcoin wallet, in case it's lost or stolen. Your Backup settings will now display Tested for both physical and encrypted backups.
