Securing the wallet: Overview

Before we get into the process of setting up your wallet, go over these basic security principles to make sure that you don't miss any important information and that you don't make any avoidable mistakes.

There are 3 security mechanisms that prevent you from accidental loss of theft of your Bitcoin:

1. PIN to access your BULL mobile app 2. Seed phrase physical backup 3. Seed phrase encrypted vault

If you lose your BULL Wallet

• Encrypted vault: recover your backup via cloud using your decryption PIN.

• Physical backup: recover your wallet via 12 words.

Warning: If you forget your decryption PIN for your Encrypted vault, there is no way to reset it. If you lose the physical seed phrase backup, you will not be able to recover access to your bitcoin if you lose the BULL app or your mobile device.

If someone steals your mobile device

The PIN protects unauthorized access to your BULL wallet, should it fall into the wrong hands.

If someone steals your BULL Wallet and your PIN

They will be able to have complete access to all of your funds within your hot wallet, so make sure to never reveal your PIN to others. (You’re watch-only or hardware protected wallets will still be protected)

If someone steals your seed backup recovery

They will be able to recover access to your BULL wallet using the physical seed phrase backup, however in the case of the encrypted vault, unless they have your email account access and know the PIN to decrypt your vault, they will not be able to recover your wallet.

Warning: If someone gains access to both your gmail and decryption vault PIN, they can steal your funds! Do not keep a copy of them in the same place! Preferably keep the decryption vault PIN offline as a physical copy.
